The United States announced the resumption of 352 tariff exemptions for Chinese imports, including steel products

On March 23, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced the re-exemption of 352 tariffs on goods imported from China. The new rule will apply to goods imported from China between October 12, 2021 and December 31, 2022.

In October, uSTR announced plans to re-exempt 549 Chinese imports from tariffs for public comment.

The OFFICE of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) issued a statement on Wednesday confirming 352 items out of 549 Chinese imports to be exempted from tariffs. The decision was made after a comprehensive consultation with the public and consultation with relevant US agencies, the office said.

The uSTR list includes industrial parts such as pumps and electric motors, certain auto parts and chemicals, backpacks, bicycles, vacuum cleaners and other consumer goods.
